Every winter, one of nature's most breathtaking spectacles unfolds off the coast of Far North Queensland. Humpback whales travel thousands of kilometres along the Great Barrier Reef corridor, breaching, singing, and nurturing their calves in the warm tropical waters of the Coral Sea. 

Two humpbacks move together through luminous water, their vast forms rendered in soft washes of blue, teal, and violet. The loose, flowing nature of watercolour captures what no photograph quite can — the feeling of being beneath the surface, suspended in that quiet, weightless world alongside these gentle giants.
