Based on my original watercolor painting

With their striking feather crests and endearing expressions, spinifex pigeons are some of the most charming characters of the Australian outback. I came across these delightful little birds during a visit to Ormiston Gorge in the West MacDonnell Ranges in 2024. They were surprisingly friendly and curious, happily wandering near me among the red rocks and spinifex grass. I knew right away I had to paint them.

This artwork is created in my unique watercolor style, aiming to capture not just their distinctive appearance, but their gentle, inquisitive nature. Each piece is professionally printed by me on luxurious, 100% cotton rag paper, which enhances the texture and colour depth—so much so that the print often looks like the original. Prints are signed on the back, and are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. They are shipped via Australia Post with tracking, and frames are not included.
