Tiny, dazzling, and often hidden high in the canopy—the spotted pardalote is one of Australia’s true gems. I was lucky enough to spot one during a quiet bushwalk, a flicker of colour among the leaves. With their jewel-like spots and soft, fluttery presence, they feel almost too magical to be real. This painting is my attempt to capture that fleeting beauty, using delicate layers of watercolor and fine details that reflect their charm.

This artwork is professionally printed by me on luxurious, 100% cotton rag paper, which brings out the richness and subtle textures of the original painting.
